How it is calculated

Cooling capacity (kW) = tons × 3.517. Input power = capacity ÷ efficiency ratio for the star rating, adjusted for average compressor duty (lower for inverter ACs). Energy = input power × hours × days.

Results are indicative planning estimates, not official invoices. Actual bills depend on your DISCOM's current tariff order, subsidies, meter charges, time-of-day rules and taxes.
