What we collect

When you submit an outage report we store the pincode, optional locality, report type (power cut / restored), an optional short note, and the time. To prevent spam we store a one-way hash derived from your IP address and browser; we do not store the raw IP address alongside reports.

Location

If you use “Use my location”, your browser shares approximate coordinates only to find the nearest pincode. Coordinates are not stored.

Cookies and analytics

Mobile numbers

If you choose to add your mobile number when posting a comment, we store it privately and use it only to contact you about power updates for your area, with your consent. It is never shown on the website or shared. To have your number deleted, contact us.

We may use essential cookies and privacy-respecting analytics to understand usage. Update this section to reflect the services you actually use.

Retention

Reports are automatically deleted after 180 days.
